Our Weekend Adventures

We had lots of family in town over the weekend. Just a few pics from the fun. Nana and Memaw were here as well as Uncle Braxton and Stacey. We also went to the fair. Hope to have pics from that fun later!

I was the big poker winner. Bryson loved playing with the chips!

George Needs a Shirt Too Mommy

This morning as I was getting Bryson dressed he said, "Mommy George needs a shirt too." That would be Curious George the monkey he was talking about. So we found a shirt for George. Then he requested pants, socks, and shoes too. We compromised and George got some really stylish Cookie Monster socks. So as we were leaving I was putting Bryson's jacket on him and he said," George needs a jacket too. He will get cold." So George left for Teresa's outfitted in a tank, Cookie Monster socks, and a hoodie. Never a dull moment at the Gallimore's.

Oh yeah...Bryson also wore his oh so attractive headband that he made yesterday at Teresa's. He loves it! And looks like he is ready to be in a Jane Fonda workout video!

Head and Shoulders

The other night at dinner I could Bryson under his breath singing "knees and toes, knees and toes." I finally figured out that they had learned the song Head and Shoulders, Knees and Toes at Teresa's. So here we are the displaying our singing/body naming skills. He had such fun!

The Plano Balloon Festival

"You want me to get up at 5:00 a.m. on a Saturday morning?" This was my response to Brian saying he wanted us to go to the Plano Balloon Festival this past weekend. If you know me well, you know I value my sleep but I must say that it was worth it to get up. Bryson completely enjoyed the balloons and had a grand time!

Paraguas

Warning>>>Shameless bragging from a proud parent! BEWARE!!

When I dropped Bryson off this morning Teresa said,

"He just amazes me all the time. The other day we were practicing our letters and I held up a letter and asked what it was. Bryson hollered out "u" and then all the other kids said "u" also. Then he picked up a picture of an umbrella and said "paraguas". I asked him to repeat it and realized he was saying umbrella in Spanish."

He had remembered umbrella in Spanish from when they played Mexican Bingo several weeks before. He's a GENIUS I say!!

It's a Nightstand Mommy

Conversation from this morning as Bryson and I were sitting on my bed while I was doing my makeup.

Mommy: Bryson, can you hand me the remote. It's on the table right over there.
Bryson: Okay Mommy. But that's a nightstand not a table.

Reading in a Box is FUN

Nana and Shaun cleaned out his room recently. So Bryson benefited with a whole box of hand me down books. He decided to check out his new stash of books by climbing in the box and settling in!

Bryson "Reading" It's Too Windy

Tonight Bryson had to show off some by "reading" the book It's Too Windy for Daddy. Reading it might be too strong a word. Using really good picture clues and having a memory like an elephant might be more appropriate. Regardless, in a mother's opinion, he is brilliant and pretty darn cute!

The Fire Station

Today we had lunch with Cousin Shaun and Uncle Brandon. They mentioned that the their boy scout troop was going on a tour of the fire station this afternoon. So of course we had to tag along since Bryson loves "fire enginginges" as he calls them. The fire men were great and all the boys (and adults) loved the tour. Bryson thought he was one of the big boys too. He sat so quietly while the fireman spoke and was mesmorized. It amazed me that a two year could be so attentive! What a great time!

Watching Horsepower TV

Bryson now requests Horsepower TV. He says, "Daddy let's watch big trucks." Why do I see a 4x4 in our future?

I Want Blue Toes

Our conversation on the way home today.

Bryson: Mommy, I want blue toes.
Mommy: Where did you see blue toes?
Bryson: On Maggie. Let's go to the store and get me blue toes.

I guess she had blue toe nail polish. He talked about it all evening!

See My Duck's Hat Mommy!

Yes, that's an Easter egg for the hat.

I Think We May Need to Go Camping!

We have a very good friend who kept children in her home for many years. So over the years she has collected some very good toys. She is no longer keeping kiddos and therefore she is bequeathing all her coolest toys to Bryson. She brings them to Gran's house and so Gran always has a fun surprise for Bryson to play with.

This past weekend it was the camping gear. Complete with sunglasses, binoculars, Swiss army knife, hatchet, shovel, cook stove, canteens, and fun boots. Boy is Bryson in heaven! Thank you Nina!!!
